Welcome to Mr. Malinis's class! Please allow me introduce myself. My name is Mr. Malinis and I am a History graduate of UCLA, I also have a Master’s degree in education from Pepperdine University. I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

 

Curriculum

Curriculum areas we will focus on this year are listed on the Common Core State Standards. Common Core State Standards is what we are going to learn during the course of the semester. Each standard is an objective of which each student is expected to accomplish by the end of the summer.

 

Materials / Expectations

Students are asked to bring the following supplies to school by the 2nd day of class.

* Text book        * Notebook    * Pen & Pencil        * Assignments

                                          

 

I expect you to be in class on time everyday.  I expect you to come to class ready to learn.   All iPods, cell phones and other miscellaneous distractions should be left home or TURNED OFF IN YOUR BACKPACK, OUT OF SIGHT!

 

Your are expected to represent yourself truly in all oral and written statements (you will not misrepresent the originality of your work, otherwise known as plagiarism), nor receive any aid on an assignment or exam, unless permitted my Mr. Malinis.  Most importantly, you will be expected to respect other students, faculty or guests in our classroom.
